Cabezo de Oro

Cabezo de Oro, the golden head, I thought they called it that way because when the sun goes down its' reflection looks like gold (oro)
But this 'oro' doesn,t mean gold at all. It is a fonetic translation of the arabic 'Ur', meaning water. So better 'head of water'. Inside the mountains you can find caves with springs, water, rivers.
But the reason it looks gold, is because there is as well, besides the water, a lot of copper in the stone. There used to be copper mines on those hills, the shafts are still there and it is a thing to do, crawling in them. Nothing so important, but it looks great when you fly till sunset, the view is spectacular.

We flew. Of course we did. And we flew pretty good, especially Jan who unpacked his brandnew Airwave Sport4 and tested it. He topped up his airtime with an hour and a half, whilst everywhere else it looked dark and cloudy. Funny how the weather worked out today, it looked very harsh at first, but ended to be thermic and dynamic.

Other pilots flew in M Cabrer, others in the Jalon Valley, great day.

Justin, Lynn, Simon, Tony, Johan, Andy from East Midlands, and Lennart from Goteborg Sweden were with us today. And Martin, but I don't know from which part, I only know he should have brought his angel Hazel.
And two pilots from Albacete, no one from homebase Alicante.
