Ides of March. All pilots except two flew their tits off today. 3 to 4 hours flying in strong punchy thermals at times.
French and english, belgians and norwegians, and pilots from Finland, all in the air, most of them later in the afternoon because tricky air at landing.
Actually it was easier and better and safer so to topland. Strange eh ? No, not if you knew the breeze was kicking in very strong, and the prevailing winds were southwest. So once low, you had to struggle to get to the rotor area to land safe, at times rocking on the lee thermals kicking off.
Anyway not a day for lowairtimers. A day for pilots who had to fly active all the time. Tiring .... .

Then Trui, belgian girl who prefers to piss in the street, than holding it up till she's home, slopelanded unintentionally. Luckily no scratch, no hansaplast needed. Just a huge walk with a 20 kg rucksack on her back, reaching the proper landing field in the dark. Olé !
