As you can see a very sunny day on our hills. A great day. The only shade I got when was I was flying Gary's Sky Fide. It is so big above you, you are sheltered from the ever shining sun in Alicante. I think it is about as wide as it is long. So not at all sportive looking. However it must be one of the safest gliders, and all the previous has to do with it. It felt very safe, although alive. I would recommend it to pilots who start to fly when they are over their retirement, or for beginners who get nerveus after the first gust they encountered when groundhandling.
Bu not for Gary, who is an oldtimer. An oldtimer in a sense of having hours under his belt hanggliding, I heard for over 15 years hanggliding pilot. Maybe that's why he choose this glider. For hanggliding pilots it needs to feel a bit rigid, a bit safer than our 'handkerchiefs' pieces of cloth.
And he did very well today it the not so smooth air. So here we go.

It was nice today, bit rough at times, well that's what the locals said, including me. It is funny, for us it is easy and no problem to admit it is rough. Black is black, white is white.
Sometimes visiting pilots have other opinions though. Then us, locals, look at each other, and wonder. Maybe we are girly .... ?
I don't think so, we are just so worried, we just want you all to be safe. We just want you all to have a great time, enjoy our region, and go home without having used a hansaplast. Love you all.
