With a same pressure gradient up north, you wouldn't have no wind.

But down where we are, Alicante southeast of Spain, we are lots closer to the equator. Compared to England lets say, we have about 35-40 procent more wind with same pressure gradient. (Coriolis/latitude/frequencie, once I was explained but now totally forgotten ...)

So you probably wonder why we couldn't fly today. That was the reason, too much wind.
