Listening to local advice is important.
You could read that last monday, we didn't fly because conditions were too strong. Well the visiting pilot was warned by several of us not to fly, it was too strong. But he knew better and kept on flying. He failed in his attempt to take off in conditions we as locals would never even consider taking off in. He failed and bounced on our spanish grass, untill the walls stopped him. Auch !
Some friends had to take him to the hospital with a more than bruised shoulder. Luckily the damage was limited.
Attitudes, not always the right approach towards flying, and especially not if you're a visitor. And definetely not in Alicante, where there are professional guides, and lots of helpful local pilots who will all welcome you to fly safe.
