Man, man.
You don't have to believe me, but it was 37 degrees celsius again and such a gorgeous weather. Blue sky, exactly like in the advertisements, making you warm to spend some time in heaven.
And of course went to the beach, and had a dip in that lovely blue Mediterranean water. The beach of El Altet still looks lovely this time of the year, and not only by its surroundings... .
Got out of the water when the flag was changed from green to yellow. Time to get some lunch in and get ready to go. This breeze will get inland soon enough to have a marvellous time.
Most stayed at their known hill Palomaret, the more challenging pilots went to Peña Rubia, where they had 1000 m climb above take off. Pepe, Bartual and Ismael.
I was hiking on the northern side of Maigmo late in the afternoon, checking out an old via ferrata, checking if it still can be used safely in case we want to do something else this winter. At 6 pm, I still saw flyers in the distance filling up their boots.
Tonight we are invited to have Arroz Negro. A speciality in this region where paella reigns. Arroz Negro is rice dish like paella, but cooked in inkfish' ink. Delicious.
And soon we will have our local competition again at Palomaret amd we all hope you will be here. Check out last years video of some take offs at the event, video man was Jan Bernaerts. You don't know him ? Well time to get down here, he is a regular !
